Licensing

Third-Party Logistics Providers (3PL)

A Third-Party Logistics Provider is an entity that provides or coordinates warehousing, distribution, or other logistics services of a product in interstate commerce on behalf of a manufacturer, wholesale distributor, or dispenser of a product, but does not take ownership of the product, nor have responsibility to direct the sale or disposition of the product.

Any entity that falls within this definition into Wyoming, must register with the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy using the new Third-Party Logistics Provider application.

Where operations are conducted at more than one location by a single third-party logistics provider, each location shall be licensed by the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy.

Because this type of application requires a Designated Representative (who must pass a criminal background check), please email bop@wyo.gov, provide a mailing address and request that an application packet be mailed to you.

**We DO NOT email application packets.**

As we update applications frequently, please do not re-use an old application form.

Designated Representative – A person can serve as the Designated Representative for only one location at a time. Any time there is a change in Designated Representative for a particular license location, a new application for that person is required within 30 days. Email bop@wyo.gov, provide a mailing address and ask that a new application packet be mailed to you. We DO NOT email application packets.

Change of Name or Address of a Third-Party Logistics Provider requires that you submit the change in writing to the Board of Pharmacy, accompanied by copies of the following documents:

  • Copy of resident state license reflecting the change
  • Copy of DEA certificate reflecting the change (if applicable)
  • VAWD Certificate (for change of location)
