Application for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training

All pharmacy technician applicants must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT)

The Technician-in-Training permit allows a person to work in a pharmacy under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge while studying to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) to be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician.

The permit is valid for two years and a technician-in-training can only work at the sponsoring pharmacy.

Before a technician-in-training can work at a different pharmacy, a pharmacy sponsor form must be completed and submitted to the Board office.
