An active license is required to practice in Wyoming. Pharmacy technician licenses expire annually on December 31st. Late renewals are subject to late fees. Renewal applications may be completed online or mailed to the Board office. Faxed or emailed applications are not accepted. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant. Pharmacy technicians who mail their renewal applications to the Board office may pay their renewal fees through a check, cashier’s check, or money order made payable to the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy. ALL continuing education (CE) must be Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited and be reported to NABP’s CPE Monitor. CE can not be carried forward to subsequent years and must be completed in the previous license period (January 1 through December 31) immediately preceding the year for which the pharmacist is seeking to renew his or her license.
Pharmacy Technician CE Summary
Pharmacy technicians must complete 10 hours of ACPE-accredited CE.
Pharmacy technicians who immunize must complete 1 hour of CE related to immunizations.
Certification or recertification of CPR, ACLS, or PALS by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association is no longer recognized as CE unless the course is ACPE-accredited.

All pharmacy technician applicants must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT).
The Technician-in-Training permit allows a person to work in a pharmacy under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge while studying to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) to be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician.
The permit is valid for two years and a technician-in-training can only work at the sponsoring pharmacy.
Before a technician-in-training can work at a different pharmacy, a pharmacy sponsor form must be completed and submitted to the Board office.
