All applicants to be licensed as pharmacy technicians in Wyoming must be currently certified by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) in order to qualify. 

Pharmacy Technician Renewal Application

Reinstatement – If your Wyoming Pharmacy Technician license has lapsed and you would like to reinstate, email bop@wyo.gov, provide your mailing address, and ask for a Pharmacy Technician Reinstatement Packet to be mailed to you. For more information, see the Wyoming Pharmacy Act Rules, Chapter 10, Section 8.


Technician-in-Training 

This application requires a criminal background check, so please email bop@wyo.gov, provide your mailing address, and ask for the Technician-inTraining application packet to be mailed to you.

The Technician-in-Training permit is good for two years and cannot be renewed. This permit allows a person to work in a pharmacy under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge, while studying to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) in order to become licensed as a Pharmacy Technician. The permit can be transferred from one pharmacy to another no more than one time during the two year period.
